What to expect in the examination

 
Over the two days that your examinations will take place, you will write three different papers worth 80 % of the total marks:
       Paper 01/A        25 %
       Paper 01/B          5 %
       Paper 02            50 %
In total, they will be 4 hours and 5 minutes long.

 Paper 0/1A

 Paper 0/1A is 1 hour long and is administered in the morning of day one.
 
There are 10 compulsory questions and each question may have two or three parts. These questions require short answers. There are two questions on Module 1, four questions on Module 2 and four questions on Module 3.
 
You will be given lines on which to write in an answer booklet and this will help you to gauge the length of your answers.
 
The allotted marks are put in square brackets at the end of each question. This will help to guide you on the amount of content required for the answer.

 
No question is worth more than 8 marks.
 
The booklet is divided into the three modules:
Module 1: Gathering and Processing Information
Module 2: Language and Community
Module 3: Speaking and Writing.
